TPE3 has a built-in heat energy meter as well as flow limiting functions eliminating the need for a pump throttling valve. With a wide range of intelligent control modes to choose from, the pump is easily commissioned to the system it is being a part of.
With a number of configurable relays and analog inputs, the complete TPE3 I/O package allows for better system monitoring and optimal pump regulation. It is supplied with wireless technology which enables it to connect with up to four single TPE3 pumps.
Connect and set-up any HVAC sensor to TPE3 and let the pump take charge of the system pressure and flow on basis of the ΔT and ΔP in the system. The intelligent TPE3 is a true plug-and-pump solution.
TPE2 is the ideal pump if you do not need the intelligent functions but instead want to connect all external sensors by yourself, if you want the pump to run at constant speed, or if you want an existing BMS system to control the pump.
Being part of the TP-family, TPE3 and TPE2 pumps are of the close-coupled type, i.e. pump and motor are separate units. Consequently, the pumps are less sensitive to impurities in the pumped liquid than similar pumps of the canned rotor type.
Applications
TPE3 and TPE2 are all-round In-line pumps that can be used in all heating, cooling and district energy systems. TPE3 and TPE2 make a significant difference in terms of comfort and system efficiency in several situations. Examples are:
- One-String Heating Systems
Increase system efficiency and avoid penalties by a TPE3 that operates based on ΔT across the system to avoid increased return temperature. - Heat Recovery System
Reduce water temperatures and reduce costs: With a TPE2 pump you can add two temperature sensors and the pump will adapt the circulating flow in the system to what is really needed. - Boiler Shunt Pump
Boiler protection and reduced cost of operation: You can now use the TPE3 and an added temperature sensor instead of a normal pump running at full speed. The sensor ensures that the right temperature is maintained at all times. - Domestic Hot Water Recirculation
Gain control of hot water temperatures and save: Traditionally, a throttled constant speed pump runs 24/7 to ensure instant hot water, which is a waste of energy. A TPE3 can be applied and put in temperature control mode and the pump will maintain the desired temperature.
